The Greek historian Herodotus, in his chronicles of Egypt, recounts a profound declaration from the ancient Egyptian priests: they spoke of their origins at the beginning of the Nile, where God Hapi dwells, in the sacred foothills of the Mountains of the Moon. Many historians and geographers believe these mystical mountains refer to the Rwenzori range, nestled in what is now Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo - a place veiled in mist, mystery, and ancient echoes.
